Fraser H. Edison is the Chairman of the Board & President of Rutter Inc., a global enterprise specializing in innovative marine technology. Mr. Edison has extensive experience in finance, construction, oil and gas, and ocean/road transportation management. He currently serves as board member with Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro, Ocean Trout Canada Inc. (OTC) and Director of both Atlas Salt Inc. and Vulcan Minerals.

He is Past Chairperson of Research & Development Corporation (RDC) and the St. John's International Airport Authority, past board member of the St. John's Port Authority and Oceanex Income Trust, past Chairperson of the Genesis Centre Selection Committee at MUN, Past President of St. John's Board of Trade and Past Member of St. John’s Rotary Club/Paul Harris Fellow. Mr. Edison was awarded with the Government of Canada Medal 125, Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, and NOIA Outstanding Contribution Award. Mr. Edison was inducted into the Junior Achievement Newfoundland and Labrador Business Hall of Fame and was recipient of Turning the Tide Marine Industry Lifetime Achievement Award.

Mr. Edison was appointed to NLC’s Board of Directors in May 2017, became Vice-Chairperson in April 2019 and was appointed Chairperson of the Board of Directors in July 2020.  As Board Chairperson, Mr. Edison also serves in an ex-efficio capacity on all Board committees.
