Corporate Giving

Throughout the year, NLC provides support to many community and charitable organizations. These contributions are generally directed towards project-based funding or organizations, as opposed to general endowments. We donate to non-profit groups and organizations whose efforts are primarily devoted to one or more of the following areas:

  • Community Development

  • Education

  • Environment and Sustainability

  • Social Responsibility

Since 2020, NLC has donated to the following organizations through corporate partnerships:

  • Broadening Horizons Recycling

  • Choices for Youth

  • Community Food Sharing Association

  • Crime Stoppers

  • fasdNL (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder)

  • The Gathering Place

  • Hospitality Newfoundland and Labrador

  • Law Enforcement Torch Run

  • Managed Alcohol Program (St. John’s Status of Women Council)

  • MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) Canada

  • Newfoundland and Labrador Citizens’ Crime Prevention Association

  • Newfoundland and Labrador Sexual Assault Crisis & Prevention Centre

  • Transition House of Newfoundland and Labrador

  • Wiseman Centre

In 2021, NLC employees raised funds for the following organizations:

  • SPCA

Guidelines for NLC Donations

Organizations that wish to contact NLC for contributions must complete the NLC Corporate Giving Application Form here.

Eligible Applicants:

  • Eligible applicants are organizations that are federally registered charities with the Canadian Revenue Agency.

Ineligible Applicants:

Newfoundland and Labrador Liquor Corporation will not provide corporate giving in the following categories:

  • Organizations that are not registered charities with the Canadian Revenue Agency;

  • Individual fundraising or fellowship assistance (sports teams, family events, etc.);

  • Religion based organizations;
  • Travel related events (including student field trips or tours);

  • Projects outside of Newfoundland and Labrador.
