NLC's Updated Response to COVID-19

NLC’s primary focus during the spread of COVID-19 is on the health and safety of its employees and customers. As such, Corporate NLC Liquor Stores will close to the general public until further notice, effective end of business today, Friday, March 20th. In consultation with its partners at NAPE, NLC is pleased to launch a temporary service, which will allow for the ordering and pick up of product at Corporate NLC Liquor Store locations.

Customers may order by calling their preferred NLC Liquor Store directly or by completing an order online at www.nlliquor.com. Please note that the following stores will not be available for this service:
  • Queen Street Liquor Store, St. John’s
  • Murphy Square satellite store, Corner Brook
  • Trans Canada Highway satellite store, Clarenville
  • Centennial Square satellite store, Mount Pearl
  • Lake Avenue satellite store, St. John’s
  • Newfoundland Drive satellite store, St. John’s
In order to prepare for this new service, stores will accept orders starting tomorrow, March 21st, and will begin pick-ups Sunday, March 22nd. Stores will be operating at reduced hours. Please visit www.nlliquor.com for details.
To ensure the safety and well-being of staff and customers and to reduce the potential for spread of COVID-19, NLC is taking the following additional measures:
  • Accepting non-cash/non-contact methods of payment only – TAP ONLY via debit and credit card. This will limit the transaction to $100.
  • Serving one customer at a time and enforcing appropriate social distancing both inside and outside of stores;
  • Not accepting gift cards and redeemable offers such as beer caps/coupons – these methods of payment can be redeemed at a later time;
  • NLC is determined to honour its commitment to AIR MILES Reward Program Collectors. AIR MILES collectors should keep their receipts. The NLC is actively working on a solution to ensure that Collectors get miles on their purchases. Should you have any questions, please contact the NLC.
  • Installing plexiglass partitions at pick-up lanes.

We appreciate your patience, as we continue to monitor this rapidly evolving situation and adjust our services and approach accordingly.

Please note that as Liquor Express stores are under management of private operators, these locations may be open for business at this time

NLC’s website, www.nlliquor.com will be updated at 10:00 AM Saturday, March 21st to reflect this new service.
